a poem I wrote about her.... I hope you enjoy it... Miss Hattie was our English
Mastiff brindle puppy and she died 5 days after her first birthday of a
infection she got from organ failure. She was born with abnormal kidneys and the
vet really didn't think she would live this long... She was our first mastiff
and we had plan to breed until we found she was born with genetic issues. She
would have made a great Mom and I have to stop now, I am crying...
Bye my Fury Friend
In honor of Miss Hattie (August 20, 2008 – August 25, 2009)
My best friend was someone I turned to,
Now my spirit is so
blue,
My best friend was someone I treasured,
For true friendship is a
gift that can’t be measured,
My best friend was my laughable cheer up dope,
And now all I can
do is mope,
My best friend was someone with lots of zing,
That helped me face
whatever life would bring.
She filled my heart with joy in my life,
And my sorrow today cuts like a knife,
The loss of her beauty and joy and grace,
Makes the world that I
live in
a very foreign place!
Bye, My sweet pet,
I will remember your loving silhouette.
