The subjects of death and religion are inherently linked.
The Bible contains a record of the entire history of mankind, from the
moment man was created on the earth until the close of earth’s history and
beyond. It describes a world where death did not exist, explains how death came
to exist here, and reveals the steps God took to eventually eliminate death and
restore that planet to its originally intended state.
Jesus Christ makes a promise to everyone who will believe it and accept it regarding
the time when the dead will wake up. He says:
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1–3).
So Christ tells us that when He returns to Earth, He will raise the dead and bring them to heaven with Him, so everyone can be together in a land with no more death. The Bible
describes Christ’s return by saying, “The stars of heaven fell to the earth, and
the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up” (Revelation 6:13, 14). The heavens, as we know them, will be no more, and life will never be the same again.
Death might be a sleep of unconsciousness, but it is only temporary. For those who trust in God to keep His promises, eternal life without death awaits.
I truly believe this is true. Dying for an hour and 4 minutes and waking up in the hospital tells me it is a sleep. I had no knowledge of dying for over an hour or being frozen for a day and a half. But I woke to here I was died and that my heart started again on it own right before they were going to get the doctor to call me. May this will help someone out there who has some doubts.
But one question that many ask is of suicide and what happens to the people that take their own lives.
First just to be clear, Killing is one of the 10 commandment's in the bible and it don't say your brother but thou shalt not kill. Which would mean that yourself is include in you don't do it.
Just in the passed month I have read news reports on many suicides. One even post his last view on Yahoo before taking his own life.
So, to help other to see the truth of what happens to these lost souls. Here is what the Lord's heart says on the subject.
Can a suicide be saved?
I can only draw this conclusion as I read my Bible:
If a Person's mind has come to the place where his mind is out of order, but his
life is otherwise right with God, God will not hold him accountable. God holds
us accountable only for what we know we are doing.
Here is a text for you to take home with you, "To him that knows to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17. I take comfort in the fact that
there are some who do not realize what they are doing. They go to a suicide's
death unintentionally. I thank God that I am not to judge. I find hope in that
today.
Ultimately, it says in the bible that God judges the heart. So, he will look to it to see if the man or women that commits suicide was their heart in the right place then they killed them themselves.
This may seem to some to be silly. How could you think you are doing something right and kill your self.
In answer to this I have to tell you a story, it is a true story not one of my fictional writes.
There was a woman who had Migraines that would have killed most people. Not only did her head hurt but she be sick at her stomach thanking the toilet bowl for helping her. Dragging her head on the floor to the bathroom to be sick was not uncommon. During one of her headaches she started to think about what she could do to stop it and never have one again. Her mind said you just need to get some relief from the headache, stop the pressure. That is it, I'll get the ice pick from the kitchen and just make two holes above my eyes to get rid of the pressure. She got up and started to the kitchen for the ice pick.... Stopped and looking at the items in the draw said, "Are you CRAZY that might kill you!!"
Now this was a woman that believe in God. Her heart was in the right place but she was ill so if she had done it would she go to hell? I have to go back to the verse in the bible that says God judges the heart. Each one that takes there own life is judge by the place that their heart was in doing so. So, the next time you start to judge others remember that verse that says Judge not less ye be judged.
