The Earthship Of Fortune
When I am through with this old Earthened Home one of my own,
When light beam in and the windows shine,
No more clay homes of yesterday.
And, Dearest Neighbor please come out and play,
Raise a home not a barn,
Few tires to tread around in for a little darn,
A place to compose,
A yar, poem or may just a pose,
An old Earthship that sails on the wind,
Come be part of my neighborly crew and after when we unwind,
I will have an ice cream social every year,
Or if you rather I can get you a beer,
If you can by some miracle aid me in my quest,
I may be old and sickly but my thank you will have some zest.
For in these old beat up materials that made up my home,
Are now a beautiful loving family and fortune under the earthed dome.
So, lets be neighbors and good friends,
And show the world how anyone can live off the grinds…
