Tow The Line
He would say, "Don't worry about the mule going blind,"
But how do we keep the rows straight,
If the mule is blind, he can't see if they are straight,
And I can't tow the line and hold the old plow to get them straight,
You have to have a mule that can see,
How can I not worry about this in the fields of crops to plant and harvest?
And the time it would take,
Or the extra cost of a hire hand,
You must be crazy Daddy giving me a blind mule.
And he would turn and smile and say,
You just need to sit back and tow the line, gal.
Why because the mule has blinder on to keep him on the line,
To aid him in no distraction from his goal,
Tunnel vision is what he needed,
And you have no worries indeed,
So in conclusion he would repeat, "Don't worry about the mule going blind, just sit back and tow the line."
